Graphic Recording
Graphic recording captures conversations and events, transforming them into clear, engaging visual communication tools—live and in real time. By blending drawings, symbols, and text, we quickly distill key ideas and themes into powerful visuals that enhance discussion and retention.
These large-scale stories, posters, or murals keep the conversation alive long after the event, sparking further engagement and new insights.

Graphic Facilitation
Graphic facilitation is an interactive process, similar to traditional facilitation, but with the addition of visual instructions and templates that guide group activities, spark creativity, and keep teams focused on their objectives. Unlike graphic recording, where visuals reflect a discussion, graphic facilitation actively engages participants in structured exercises designed to help them explore ideas, align perspectives, and reach decisions.
As teams work through these activities, I document key insights, agreements, and next steps—capturing the outcomes visually in real time. Throughout the session, I also photograph group-generated materials, integrating them into a final visual story that summarizes the team’s progress and provides a shared reference for continued action.

Bespoke Studio Work
Whether building on previous work or starting fresh, I create bespoke visuals that bring complex ideas to life. When teams need a clear, compelling communication piece—such as a visual representation of their mission, vision, or strategy—I translate their words into an engaging, easy-to-understand format.
This process often follows a graphic facilitation session or a graphic recording from a meeting, refining early insights into a focused and actionable visual story. But I’m also hired independently to develop stand-alone visuals that help organizations align around key messages and spark meaningful conversations.
Through virtual collaboration, we prioritize key ideas, refine complex concepts, and shape communication tools that drive clarity and engagement. In addition to summarizing key outcomes, I often incorporate templates that invite further organizational input and exploration—ensuring the conversation continues long after the work is complete.

Graphic Recording

For graphic recording, we’ll need wall space (or we can arrange moveable walls for you). We bring everything else—capturing the conversations that matter most to you and your team in real-time.

It's natural to wonder if having a graphic recorder present might disrupt the flow of your event. However, graphic recording is designed to be unobtrusive and supportive.
Here's why it will be more beneficial than distracting:
Active listening: My primary focus is on actively listening to the conversation and capturing key insights, not on creating a perfect work of art.
Seamless and adaptable: I use a minimal setup that blends into the background, and I can easily make changes in real-time if anything needs adjusting.
Enhanced focus and understanding: The visual record actually helps participants stay engaged and make connections between ideas, fostering a deeper understanding of the topic at hand.
Boosting memory and learning: Visuals are powerful memory aids. The graphic record serves as a reminder of key discussions, decisions, and action items.
Facilitating pattern finding: Seeing information presented visually can help participants identify patterns and connections that might otherwise be missed.
Ultimately, graphic recording enhances the experience by providing a clear and engaging visual summary of the discussion, which can be invaluable for reflection and future action planning.
Graphic Facilitation
-
I'll partner with you and your team to design a graphic facilitated experience that meets your specific needs and goals.
Here's an overview of the process:
Planning: We'll start by discussing your objectives, desired outcomes, and the context of the event (e.g., time, group size, learning objectives). This could be anything from a short workshop to a multi-day retreat.
Design: Based on our planning discussions, we'll work together to design engaging activities that will achieve your objectives.
Pre-work: I'll then create visual agendas, instructions, and templates to guide participants and encourage interaction.
Facilitation and Synthesis: During the event, I'll photograph and capture key ideas, discussions, and decisions in real-time, creating a shared summary record of the event. You'll receive these visuals so you have a story that captures the essence of the group's experience.
This collaborative approach ensures that the graphic facilitation process is not only engaging and productive, but also aligned with your desired outcomes and easily shared with those who can’t make the event.

How much prep time is required?
The prep time depends on how clear the objectives are. Generally, it involves a minimum of three facilitated meetings:Discussing objectives, participants, and brainstorming.
Clarifying priorities and co-designing the experience.
Refining the plan and ensuring all logistics are in place.
This process ensures we’re fully aligned and ready to make the most of our time together.
